Several times each semester, we help serve dinner at Blessed Sacrament Soup Kitchen. We leave campus at 5:45PM and are always back on campus in time for any 8:00 plans you might have.
“Working at the soup kitchen brings you outside the UR community and is a reminder that life is not always as clean and cultivated as living on a college campus. It’s rewarding to know that you can help the community off campus as well as on.”
–Abigail Wickes, English/Film
Besides monthly soup kitchen duties, PCCers organize a yearly “30 Hour Famine” to raise money and awareness for world hunger; we make blankets for a local refugee center; and we participate in other service opportunities which vary from year to year.
