The members of PCC’s Christmas Choir have begun working hard on our annual Service of Lessons & Carols, which will be on Sunday, December 6, at 5:00, in the Interfaith Chapel sanctuary.

PCC Fall Retreat, Oct 3-4

By October 3, we’ll be one month into the semester -– time for a fun break!

So we’re heading out to Harvest House in Buffalo (about an hour away) for fun, games, good food, singing, conversation, and lots of laughter. This will be a great time to really get to know each other better – please join us!

When we’re leaving: Saturday, October 3, at 10:00 a.m.
When we’re getting back to campus: Sunday, October 4, late afternoon
Where we’re going: Harvest House, Buffalo, NY (http://www.harvesthousebuffalo.com/retreats.htm)
Cost: $15 per person
DEADLINE for registration: Sunday evening, September 27

Opening Worship Service: Sunday September 6, 5PM

PCC’s opening worship service of the semester will be this Sunday, Sept 6, at 5:00 p.m. in the Interfaith Chapel on the River Campus. The service will include hymns, communion, a sermon, and a special prayers for the new academic year.

The service will be followed by light refreshments in the narthex, as we all greet old friends and meet new ones.

Opening Dinner Dialogue: “What is the role of critical thought in Christianity?”

Join us for our very first Dinner Dialogue of the year on Wednesday, Sept 2 (the day after classes start) from 6:00 – 7:30 in Friel Lounge (Sue B dorm). FREE food will be provided, and our topic of conversation will be “What is the role of critical thought in Christianity?” (Our “DD” topics usually meander off-topic at one point or another, but the conversation is always fun and thought-provoking!)
